Roberto Del Buono’s “La Cignozza” is a typical Tuscan farm where life  goes by slowly keeping pace with farm work. This estate has an optimum position for wine production, being located at an altitude of 400-450 m with all vineyards on the South-Eastern slope.  The farm is specialized in wine growing and production exploiting its own land and other rental fields.

The property covers a total surface of  4 and ½ ha including:
-         3 ha of vineyard whose grapes, consisting mostly of Sangiovese and minor quantities of Cabernet, Merlot, Canaiolo and Mammolo, are used to produce Chianti (80%) and IGT (20%);
-         1 and ½ ha of arable land, mainly durum wheat.
 The property also includes:
-         A 250-sq-m cellar on the ground floor of the period farmhouse, used to age and store wine with all the necessary equipment (barrels, barriques, bottling-machine and bottles ready for sale) and adjoining a small tasting room and 1 office with toilette;
-         100-sq-m cellar for wine-making comprising the following tanks:

◦n. 2 tanks of 40 hectolitres;
◦n. 2 tanks of 15 hectolitres;
◦n. 1 tank of 10 hectolitres;

◦n. 3 tanks of 2 hectolitres;

•cement-made:

◦n. 2 tanks of 50 hectolitres;
◦n. 2 tanks of 25 hectolitres;
◦n. 2 tanks of 15 hectolitres;
-         Prefabricated building of about 150 sq. m. used as garage for farm tools

The farm activity is currently carried out on further 10 ha of land, including:
-         2 ha of wood
-         1 ha of olive grove
-         7 ha of arable land under crop rotation: wheat, barley and broad beans

Possibility of either going on with this rental or including in the purchase also this part of the farm comprising one portion of farmhouse with two apartments.
The wine produced by La Cignozza is sold both in Italy and abroad.
